Devil Swine Among Us: Drunk Wild Pigs Wreak Havoc, Attack Cows

A feral pig in Western Australia ransacked a campsite and rank at least 18 cans of beer before attacking a cow.  The wild pig had been seen around the campsite for several days before figuring out where the beer was. He got into multiple six-packs over the course of several days.  (full, hilarious article)

Potentially inebriated hog

Campers reported that the pig stole their beers, drank them, and afterwards proceeded to tear apart the liners.  Then he attacked the cow.  Other campers reported seeing the cow chasing the pig.  The pig, in true drunken form, apparently thought he was bigger and meaner than he was.  The cow wasn’t having it.

Feral pigs obviously aren’t only a problem in Australia.  They’re a scourge in Texas, including in Houston’s northern suburbs.  A recent article in the Houston Chronicle reported that they’re tearing up Kingwood, Texas.  Being inside the city limits, they can’t be shot with a gun.  Locals are pondering bow hunting. As of yet, the hogs haven’t been reported to have gotten into any coolers or twelve-packs.

The Australian authorities warned campers to keep their beer away from the wild hogs.  They said that their crews aren’t equipped to deal with wild pigs, especially if they’re drunk.

The pig was last sighted laying under a shady tree, potentially nursing a hangover.
