A
Pearland, Texas (south suburban Houston) man, Tad Jeremy Costin, was arrested
November 1 after a Liberty County investigation into child pornography led
authorities to him. The Chronicle reports that his girlfriend,
Julia Lack, was also arrested a week later and charged with possession of child
porn.

Police
now say that there is a disturbing new twist. Costin used to date a woman who
operated an in-home overnight babysitting service in Clear Lake. Police are asking any parents who have had
any contact with Costin to come forward.
Police have a flash drive with what they say are hundreds of images of
Costin engaged in sex acts with young children, some 4-7 years old. Officials say Costin may have been making the
images and videos as far back as 1999.
He’s
being held on a $4 million bond. The
Supreme Court has pronounced that the death penalty is not allowed for any
offense short of murder. This should be an exception. There is no evil like
that which preys on young children.
