MS13 Gang Members Sought for Shooting Toughest Policewoman on Planet in Face

Stafford, Texas (a near suburb of Houston) are searching for two suspects who are accused of shooting Officer Ann Carrizales in the face and chest around 3:30 in the morning when she pulled over a suspicious vehicle. Carrizales, a former Marine, fortunately is extremely tough, and is at home recovering.

Daniel Cruz - MS13 Member Sought by Police
The Chronicle reports that: Early Saturday, Carrizales came up on a four-door Nissan sedan idling at a green light with a blinking turn signal indicator. Carrizales followed the Nissan from the 12700 block of Murphy Road to a nearby mobile home park, where she was shot after speaking with a trio of men in the vehicle.

She returned fire as the car sped from the scene. Carrizales notified dispatch that she had been shot, and still returned to her cruiser to pursue the vehicle for more than four miles.

Damn she’s tough.

The chase ended when the car stopped in the Club Creek neighborhood and two suspects fled on foot.  The suspected shooter, 21 year-old Sergio Francisco Rodriguez was discovered in the area and arerested  Police are searching for 28 year-old Freddy Henriquez. Police said both Rodriguez and Henriquez are Honduran nationals who have been in the country illegally for quite some time.

The Chronicle also reports on the third supect: Police are searching for the third man in the vehicle, Daniel Cruz, AKA Jose Luis Cruz.

Cruz is a person of interest in the shooting and is said to have the word “Houstone” tattooed on his neck, a tattoo of a city skyline on his left arm, a tattoo of a star on his right forearm and a tattoo of a cross under his left eye.

MS13 or Mara Salvatura, is a Salvadorian gang that started in California prisons, flourished when Salvadorians were sent back home, and returned to the US.  They have been in Houston, and in its suburbs for a long while and are notorious for their abject violence.

Police say Carrizales was saved by her bullet-proof vest.  She was also involved a year ago in an altercation with suspects that led to her being dragged by an SUV and nearly run over. Like I said before, damn she’s tough.
