Arizona Grandmother Gives Granddaughter Cocaine in Bizarre Custody Ploy

A woman in Gilbert, Arizona is accused of giving her 9-year old granddaughter several small packets of cocaine to take to school, then plant in her father’s car, all in an effort to get complete custody from the father.  It backfired.

The grandmother, SanJuanita Carbajal, has been accused of child abuse.  She has, or now had, partial custody of the girl and wanted full custody.  That led her to try to get the girl to plant cocaine on the father, and get the girl to tell a teacher that the father had given the drugs to her.

The plan went awry.  The grandmother is in custody.  No word on how the father is trying to explain this to his daughter. In the history of custody of custody battle ploys, this is about the stupidest I have ever heard.
