Another Girl Gang-Raped in Cleveland, Texas

What in the world is going on in Cleveland, Texas?  Three years after the horrific, months-long gang rape of an 11 year-old girl in a trailer in Cleveland Texas (prior coverage of that attack here)there are reports of another gang-rape of a girl in Cleveland.

According to the Houston Chronicle

Both cases involved underaged girls, multiple young men and two dilapidated, vacant homes in the poorer area of Cleveland known as "the Quarters."

But Cleveland Police Chief Darrel Broussard stressed the newest case "does not reach the same magnitude" of the 2010 case.

In the 2010 case, seven juveniles accepted plea agreements, 12 adults pleaded guilt in exchange for 15-year sentences, while two adults went to trial and got life or 99-year sentences.

In this case, there are no videotapes (which led to the prior case arrests).  In this case, the fifteen year-old girl’s parents reported the crime to police last Tuesday.  Police are looking into the allegation that the girl might have been given an unspecified drug prior to the alleged rape by a 17 year-old girl.

Police are aggressively investigating the case, and more facts are sure to follow.
