So Lowdown: Louisiana Family Robs Church, Tries to Sell Loot Nearby

Churches are known to help the poor and needy.  They have offerings and missions.  They have food banks and counseling.  Typically, all you have to do is ask.

Church Burglarizing Family
They also have audio-visual equipment, computers, and cash. Instead of asking for alms, a family from Slidell, Louisiana decided to break into a local church and steal from it.  They didn’t do it once.  The burglarized the church repeatedly and then were stupid enough to try to sell the church’s property at a garage sale.  (Full Story)

The St. Tammany Sheriff says the Pastor of a church under construction reported that thieves stole music equipment, water coolers, electronics and generators.  While investigating the burglaries, detectives got a tip about a family in the same neighborhood as the church having a garage sale, displaying the same things stolen from the church.

Apparently, the family stole from the church once. Then the father of the thieving family was in a traffic stop and taken in on an unrelated charge.  The family then tried to sell the church’s property to raise the bond, and went back to commit the second burglary of the church.  That’s pretty lowdown.
