Man Planning Murder Accidentally Butt-Dials Victim

In a move that is either pure stupidity or divine grace, Larry Barnett, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, plotted to murder a former employee of his business.  His cunning plan was uncovered when Barnett accidentally butt-dialed his intended victim and explained what he was about to do.  Shrewd.

Larry Barnett: Butt Dialing Murderer

The unidentified victim says he received a phone call from Barnett just after noon last Thursday, but it quickly became apparent that the call was unintentional.

The Paragould man then listened in as Barnett reportedly spent the next hour and a half plotting the murder and giving a third person directions to the victim's house.

At one point Barnett could allegedly be heard saying, "I don’t care if you have to burn his house to the ground with him in it. I don’t care what you have to do, make it look like an accident."

The victim called the police, who came to his house and saw that it had been burglaried and the gas line tampered with. Barnett is in jail, and maybe needs his grandkids to tell him how to use his phone. Hopefully he won’t get the chance.
