In a case in China which echoed
that of Ariel Castro, but went a couple of steps further, Li Hao, was convicted
of keeping six women as sex-slaves in a home-made dugeon and murdering two of
them. He was executed, whereas Castro
took his own life in prison.
Li Hao |
The Daily Mail UK reported that: The official Xinhua news agency said
that Li Hao had been convicted of murder, rape, illegal detention, organized
prostitution and making pornography for profit in 2012.
Li, who was a government clerk, apparently built
a dungeon in his basement where he forced the women to work as
prostitutes. He also apparently coercd
them to kill two others who had been forced to work alongside them. The women who murdered their cohorts were
given leniency for their role in the murders. One was given three years and two
others probation.
Apparently, like in the Castro case, one of the
women managed to escapeand went to the police, who went to the dungeon. Unlike
the Castro case, where Castro kept the women isolated and only he knew they
were there, Li apparently had men coming down to the dungeon to be serviced by
the women. Hopefully the Chinese police
are going after the Johns. We’ll see if
anything more comes from that.
